He is currently a PhD candidate at the Division of Global Affairs at Rutgers University. His research focuses on international political economy and spatial risk assessment. He is presently completing his dissertation project on the effects of socio-economic inequalities on violent crime victimization in Latin America.
As of October 2016, he has presented his research in Bogotá (Colombia), Montevideo (Uruguay) and Elche (Spain). Also, he has participated and presented at the World Bank Big Data Innovation Challenge in Washington D.C.
